Preformed PIR Foam:

Preformed PIR foam is a Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation material produced in specific preformed configurations through casting or CNC cutting processes.

Applications: Preformed PIR foam is commonly used in most insulation wrapping projects for pipes, tanks, and containers, or applied for insulating specialized industrial equipment.

Advantages:

  • Preformed PIR foam provides high insulation performance and durability due to the uniform thickness and size of the shaped material, covering the entire surface of the equipment and creating uniform insulation features across the surface.
  • Low regular maintenance and repair costs
  • Minimizes surface damage to pipes, tanks, containers, and equipment during insulation wrapping.

Disadvantages:

  • High initial investment costs.

A distinct and most important characteristic is fire resistance. Among insulation materials, PIR (Polyisocyanurate) has become a top choice thanks to the heat insulation and fire resistance that PIR materials provide. During combustion, it does not produce smoke and no dripping that spreads the fire.
